How do I thaw meals?
The best way to thaw your freezer meals is in the refrigerator. This keeps the food at its best quality, and it can be used within a week. Here’s a quick guide to thawing times in the fridge:
Casseroles, soups, and stews in freezer bags: 24-48 hours
8-inch square to 13x9 baking dishes: 12-48 hours
Meat (including roasts): about 5 hours per pound (1lb/500g)
For a quicker option, you can submerge your meals in cold water for 1 to 2 hours to thaw.
